In the beginning, a very special puppy.., And in the end, a very special old dog.......
In between there is a priceless relationship. Ours have been with Irish Setters (with a few English Cockers mixed in for good measure).
We acquired our first Irish Setter in 1972. Brandy, Thenderin Morello, CD introduced us to the newly formed ISC of Greater Tucson, and the world of AKC events. In 1977 we acquired Crystal, Ch. Blueprint Kachina Doll, our first AKC champion. Crystal produced the Jadestar “C” litter, which garnered the ISC of America Litter Breeder and Best Matron awards in 1983. We leased her sister Ch. Blueprint Kewpi Doll for the Jadestar “D” litter. From these two bitches we were fortunate to produce five generations of beautiful show and companion dogs for ourselves and others until 2000, when we had to take a hiatus.
In 2006 we acquired Ch. Courtwood Way Out West, ROM, as a puppy. Our “heart dog,” Zona became one of the top producing Irish Setter bitches in history, with 22 AKC championship titled offspring.
our current resident English Cocker is CH. MiJean ‘n Jadestar Bahama Breeze “Bree.”
